In what is still the most asinine Hollywood movie video game inspired idea perhaps (and it’s that bad.), apparently someone at EA, the urban legend cover jinx translate in a fictional feature film. Specific details about the plot remain vague, but EA VP Pat O’Brien reportedly said, “the story will follow a former champion of ‘Madden ‘ video game that is forced retirement, just as he is on the corner of the game coverage–and subject to the curse.”
So, a legendary video game champion is thrust–by forces beyond his control-in a precarious situation after he meets a long-awaited milestone? Hmmm. that sounds vaguely familiar.
22 December 2010, here are a couple of other notable things we saw today on our never ending journey through the wild, Wild web. Everything the Internet knows about me (because I asked)
The hours on the Web is full of unrealized ideas of both the students and the established designers who set out to make amazing renderings and prototypes for unusual products to produce. Unfortunately, due to the lack of time, money or technology, many of these products never progress of the planning stages the mass market. But that doesn’t mean we can’t drooling over them, though.
Hong Kong-based Michael Young designed these iDevice-support of earbuds, which are made from corn starch. (“Hold the Christmas Orange, ma! We’ve got audio equipment to make! “) Each of the silicone-tipped buttons features a bass reflect port in the back, which is so much a part of the buttons is as the silhouette is a benefit for the sound quality. Even better, the audio connection supports the Apple devices with its three-button remote control.
We’ve seen some pretty nutty shoes spring from the mind of Dutch Designer Marloes ten Bhömer, and her last couple is no exception. The Rapidprototypedshoe is 3D printed all at once, but consists of two separate parts (since the heel los), just in case one or the other must be replaced. Currently, views of Design Museum Holon in Israel, of course, be made Rapidprototypedshoe perfectly to fit your foot–if it ever goes into production. These heels will not replace your workaday Ferragamos, but you should save for next Halloween costume of Isabella Blow, anyway.
So, this is a self-sterilizing door handle. Um, we take 10 million. We have a friend in designer Choi germaphobic Borni, whose Red Dot Award-winning grip concept contains UV light to fry nasty germs to death. Until it is achieved, however, your damn flu shot on one of the many convenient locations across the country. Seriously, we don’t get sick for New Years because of you jerks.
Chao Gao of growing desalination device is not particularly high-tech, but that it is not stopping the recently winning a Incheon International Design Award. For example, suppose you are stranded on a rescue boat in the middle of the Red Sea with nothing a drop of fresh water left in the canteen that you managed to grab before your cruiseliner sank. The C-water fine to float in the waves, and natural evaporation of desalinated water to slake your thirst will produce. Water vapour rises, abandoned salt behind, and drips down in a compartment on the side. Sure, it has deficiencies–it will be a very long time to produce a drinkable amount. But it is the best unplugged, portable des alina tor we have ever seen? Why, Yes.
Apparently China didn’t get the memo that flip-phones so last decade, but at least telecom ZTE has good reason to revive the form factor. Another winner of the Red Dot, the dual phone, have solar cells on the outside to help enjoy power while in standby mode. But is it really necessary to a clamshell? C’mon, Ive. Can not you hit some cells on the back of the next iPhone? Then again, they can kill your reception.
3D movie just officially jumped the shark. Director Tommy Wiseau hopes apparently update are outrageous and terrible terrible film ‘ the Room ‘ with three-dimensional folly. In an exclusive interview with Entertainment Weekly (or really, with anyone who would listen), Wiseau announced his plan to renovate the cult classic. The Director is reportedly hopes to the 3-d redux in theaters at some point in 2011 or 2012.
