Specific details about the plot remain vague, but EA VP Pat O’Brien reportedly said, “the story will follow a former champion of ‘Madden ‘ video game that is forced retirement, just as he is on the corner of the game coverage–and subject to the curse.”

So, a legendary video game champion is thrust–by forces beyond his control-in a precarious situation after he meets a long-awaited milestone? Hmmm. that sounds vaguely familiar.

The week in design: cornstarch earbuds and 3D print shoes

Unfortunately, due to the lack of time, money or technology, many of these products never progress of the planning stages the mass market. But that doesn’t mean we can’t drooling over them, though.

Why, why?, Johnny Wiseau of ‘ the Room ‘ to 3D-reboot

the room3D movie just officially jumped the shark. Director Tommy Wiseau hopes apparently update are outrageous and terrible terrible film ‘ the Room ‘ with three-dimensional folly. In an exclusive interview with Entertainment Weekly (or really, with anyone who would listen), Wiseau announced his plan to renovate the cult classic. The Director is reportedly hopes to the 3-d redux in theaters at some point in 2011 or 2012.

‘ The room ‘ purists may don’t fret about possible changes in the film, though. Wiseau is definitely plan to keep everything intact, including his naked romp. He told Entertainment Weekly, “my bottom must be in 3-d, because I’m not changing anything. So, you will be very close. ” Yes, it will be that tantalizing promise of 3D-trauma really fill the seats.

TripAdvisor tap your Facebook friends to travel recommendations

Facebook users planning their next vacations can now easily their friends advice, thanks to a comprehensive new recommendation service of TripAdvisor.

The feature uses Facebook Instant personalization platform for generating travel recommendations on the basis of the cities that have visited your friends, their most popular destinations, and their personal reviews of each site. All this information is gathered from the company’s popular ‘ cities I have visited ‘ Facebook app, and is displayed in a slim image on the home page of TripAdvisor.


The service integrated first friend recommendations in June, but at the moment, users had to ask for advice, and wait for a reply from their friends. Now, thanks to instant personalization, all this information is automatically generated for easy browsing. The homepage map allows you to visualize the snapshot of every city that your friends have visited, while the right sidebar their most recent activities, as well as the popular destinations.


You can click a specific city to see which friends are there, and read their reviews and opinions. Searches for cities, hotels or any other destination will garner lists of friends that have already been there. You can also select a specific friend of the pictures on the right side of the map, and instantly see his or her entire trip history, as documented on TripAdvisor.


Eventually, the service depends on your friends activity. More reviews and opinions they register on the site, the more personal the recommendations will–assuming, of course, that you have some fundamental interests with the rest of your online sharing social circle. But even if they just ” their destinations, or their favorite cities highlight, TripAdvisor new feature makes it incredibly easy to consult your friends travel logs, and get a better idea of where you can spend your next vacation.
